The 2018 Explorer offers three different engine options. The first is a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine, available on the Explorer and XLT trims. It puts out 290 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque alongside a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission.
Next is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® inline four-cylinder engine only available on the Limited trim, paired with the same six-speed automatic transmission and produces 280 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Sport and Platinum trims boast a powerful 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine with 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.
Interior Features and Technology
