Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Ford F-350 has an array of trim levels for you to explore: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Depending on the trim you choose, you might have several cab style options: a regular cab, SuperCab, or crew cab. You might also have the choice of either a 6.75-foot or an 8-foot bed. If you're looking for dual rear wheels, choose a model equipped with an 8-foot bed. Some available exterior features worth considering include power-folding heated side mirrors with LED spotlights, fog lights, LED cargo box lighting, and running boards.
Engine (Power)
The 2022 F-350 comes standard with a 6.2-liter flex-fuel V-8 engine that outputs 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The available 7.3-liter V-8 delivers 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The available 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V-8 gives you 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. Each of these engines comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The new F-350 can tow up to 21,200 pounds with a conventional tow hitch or 35,750 pounds with a gooseneck/fifth-wheel setup. The F-350 can also haul up to 7,850 pounds of payload. You can outfit the F-350 with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, with four-wheel drive coming standard on the King Ranch and Platinum trims. The Tremor Off-Road Package prepares your truck for muddy and wet roads with features such as suspension systems built for off-roading, extra drive modes, and more. The XLT comes standard with a trailer brake controller to help you maintain control over your haul.
Interior
The SuperCab and crew cab F-350 models have flat rear load floors for storing extra gear. If you choose the crew cab, you can upgrade your cabin with a lockable in-floor storage box to secure your valuables. You'll find a leather-bound cabin at the Lariat level, which also gives you comfortable features such as dual-zone automatic climate control and power-adjustable front seats. Choose the King Ranch for a Southwestern-style cabin with woodgrain accents, as well as heated and ventilated front seats.
The XLT introduces an 8-inch central touch screen you can use to connect your phone to your truck for hands-free use. The Lariat switches this screen out for a 12-inch version with built-in navigation and gives you a premium audio system.
Safety Features
If you want smart safety features in your 2022 Ford F-350, aim for the XLT trim level or higher. The XLT comes standard with a Ford Co-Pilot360 driver-assist suite, which includes a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-path alert, automatic high-beam headlights, and a forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The Lariat adds parking sensors. The Pro Trailer Backup Assist is handy when you're trying to reverse your trailer with precision.
