Franklin, KY is not the biggest place in the country, or even in the state, but that doesn't mean we don't have some amazing places for delicious homemade ice cream. When you want a special treat, visit one of these spots that are our favorites for frozen desserts. Frosty Freeze You'll find the Frosty Freeze at 433 Main St, and this is a truly beloved local spot. You know this by the fact that they open up at 9 AM every day except Sunday, when they're closed. That's way earlier than most people are interested in having dessert, but this place is just that good. They close at 10 PM every night. more In addition to dessert, they also do old-fashioned burgers and fries, and their shakes are like what your grandparents and great-grandparents had in the soda shops. Flavors change regularly, but you can usually count on strawberry, blue raspberry, orange, and banana at least. Their cream ice is a weird but delicious combination, and we are pretty partial to the marshmallow peanut butter.
