Mustang Dark Horse Color Meets the Ford Expedition

The centerpiece of the 30th Anniversary Appearance Package is the available Blue Ember Metallic paint.

Originally offered on the high-performance Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Blue Ember is a deep, color-shifting finish that gives the Expedition an unmistakably premium appearance. Depending on the lighting, the paint can transition between rich shades of blue and darker tones such as bronze and purple. 

For 2027, the 30th Anniversary Appearance Package is the only Expedition Platinum available with Blue Ember Metallic paint.

Its dramatic finish looks right at home across the Expedition’s larger body. It highlights the SUV’s bold design while providing the exclusivity expected from an anniversary model.

Exclusive 30th Anniversary Styling

Available exclusively on 2027 Ford Expedition Platinum models, the 30th Anniversary Appearance Package adds several dark exterior details that contrast with the Blue Ember finish.

Package features include:

• 22-inch bright-machined aluminum wheels painted in high-gloss Ebony
• Exclusive anniversary wheel center caps
• Black beltline molding
• Ebony-painted grille
• Carbon Black front bumper and fascia
• Black roof-rack side rails
• Darkened headlamp bezels with Ebony trim
• Black “EXPEDITION” lettering on the split tailgate
• Exclusive “30 Years” tailgate badging

It is a subtle celebration rather than a complete redesign, preserving the Expedition’s recognizable styling while making the anniversary package easy to distinguish from the rest of the lineup.

Anniversary Details Continue Inside

Ford carried the anniversary theme into the Expedition Platinum’s cabin with several exclusive details.

The lighter Salt Crystal Gray interior provides a striking contrast to the dark exterior. Special “30 Years” branding appears on the door-sill plates, while the Expedition’s available sliding center console features a unique anniversary design embossed into its leather.

Additional package details include tray-style floor liners for the first and second rows.

These touches recognize the Expedition’s history without taking away from the comfort, flexibility and technology that define the current model.
